Dear Dino,
Do you repair cars? My '93 Toyota Corolla, formerly owned
by Aunty, then Papa and then finally registered under Yukie's
name was hauled away this past week by Free Towing. For
some reason, their phone number had been posted illegally
on telephone poles on Maui. The Maui News had a brightly
colored photograph of some guy taking down the sign last
week. Anyway, Free Towing's main office is in Waipahu.
The car had been vandalized for years. Since 2007, after I
registered the vehicle under my name, I've bought at least
5 tires with proof of serioius explosive "tears" close to the
rim of tires witnessed by others who happened to be close
enough to assist me with switching to another tire.
Kitagawa's, the reknown towing and metal dealer on Maui,
said that they saw Free Towing signs on Wakea Avenue in
Kahului, too. I called the Lahaina Police Station to report my
incident of identity fraud with Free Towing, someone who
claimed to call on my behalf with their Supervisor Justin.
After 6 weeks being listed on Craig's List, I notified most of
all mechanics known on Maui to tell them that my car was
looking for a skilled mechanic. With less than 100.000 miles,
'93 Toyota Corollas retain value for anyone who knows how
the game of car repair works.
The Better Business Bureau also heard from me about how
to deal with mechanics who provide fake advice to females
when they think females don't know better. haha. Dino, I
know more about cars, cars, cars than they think. After all,
when several cars in the same place need another fuel pump
within a couple months, then somewhere in the parts chain
of consumption, some guy wins.
Take a look at the news reports about car jackings in Haiku
and Makawao with Accords. Whoa. Must be on dope speed
or some glue solvent with their brains fried to a crisp.
My vehicle, somewhere on a barge out to sea, compressed
condensed with old friends who knew someday, someone
somehow somewhere would find out the truth.
